A Brief Guide to Home Automation Monitoring

Introduction to Home Automation, monitoring, and controlling. This software claim priority in U.S. Patent Application No. 5,812,719. This invention relates to systems and methods for monitoring and controlling home appliances, computer networks, and other electronic devices that communicate with home automation device. It is a generic utility, including but not limited to: home automation device and control appliances such as: light and heat, air conditioning, security, surveillance, appliances for safety, entertainment, computers and other electronic appliances and devices.

The term Meta-DEAF refers to the collection of network parameters. These may include configuration and access control lists for services such as diagnostics, authorization, security, and so on. Such a Meta-DEAF list could be created by grouping together components of your home automation system. For example, your home automation graphical user interface may include such components as control panels and keypads and they could be configured separately according to your business needs.

A cladogram describes the set of boundaries and orientations for data that are retrieved by an at least in part, on the basis of a transform. For example, the transform of a data frame is defined as the set of transformations that takes a point B in (x, y) coordinate system and transforms it into a point C in (z, t). At least in part, on the basis of these transform, the information is transformed into a point A on the basis of a transform of the data frame. In some cases a cladogram is used for the purpose of enabling a device to obtain representations of the data B. Such representations may be obtained by means of a data engine.

A command and control application 140 is an application software program or a set of instructions executed by a processor unit or microprocessor that is designed to perform work instructions specific to a particular task performed by a computing device 150. The application may perform any one of a number of functions, for example reading from a remote control unit or database, manipulating data, performing calculations and even providing visual feedback. In many cases a user can interact with the application through keyboard commands and some amount of human intervention. The application 140 is implemented on a processor unit that is connected to a computer system and used by the computing device 150 to carry out its tasks.

Some examples of possible view engine applications may include: vehicle tracking, asset tracking, real time traffic information, weather conditions and automated positioning, consumer choice, entertainment items and shopping lists. Another example of possible applications 140 is a web server. Some systems use a programming language interface to allow an exemplary user interface for the device. In other cases a web browser or other sort of utility may be required to access the information stored in the device.

Meta- Devices such as home telephones, PDAs and smart phones are another example of a meta-app. Meta-app allows a computer application to gather information, for example, from an external source, manipulate it, and then store it within the device. Meta-agents, which are software agents responsible for running the actual software application, can collect and store this information within the meta-agent along with any other information needed to allow the computer application to perform the required function. Examples of popular meta-agents include Googlebot and YAMP.
